Prospective Authors

Submissions from scholars working in all oral traditions and related forms are strongly encouraged and very welcome. By presenting articles from an international constituency across all geographical areas, disciplines, and chronological periods, we hope to stimulate as diverse and open an exchange as possible.

Please email submissions in electronic form to . Manuscripts will be reviewed by a specialist reader and a generalist reader before a decision is reached, usually within 90 days of receipt.

If appropriate, please describe any supporting materials that could be used to illustrate the article, such as photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings. Oral Tradition publishes such materials online in an eCompanion designed to supplement the texts of articles.
